Francois Nars‘s masterful makeup has beautified the faces of everyone from supermodels to movie stars and his eponymous brand NARS, has been making women feel gorgeous for over 15 years, no small feat in the ever changing world of fashion. On Wednesday night, stars from fashion, television and film came out in support of Francois’ latest project, Makeup Your Mind, Express Yourself, a book that aims to give readers the tools to bring a little bit of Nars’ artistry into their lives. Fans from Martha Stewart to Alexa Chung came out in support of the project and to enjoy an ultra-glam evening of cocktails and fun at Chelsea’s Cedar Lake.
The book features photos taken by Nars himself of real women, before and after makeup.

As he recently told WWD, he thought this collection as it creates a garment with style and character but not limited practicality and durability. German lingerie brand Triumph International’s annual Inspiration award, is an annual competition that gives design students a chance to show their stuff by creating fantastical statement pieces that are sexy and inventive. Finalists from 37 different countries compete for a chance to win €15,000 and see their design translated into a commercial piece.
In addition to celebrity judges including Helena Christensen and Ellen von Unwerth, online voters can chime in with their thoughts at triumphinspirationaward.com starting June 7th. Images of the pieces on Lily Cole shot by Ellen von Unwerth, provide a glimpse at the range of ideas featured within the competition; everything from classic boudoir chic, to out of this world futurism is represented in the diverse entries. Added bonus, each and every one who votes online is entered for a chance to win a trip to the grand final in Berlin!
